Events in Nether Heage

Events

Nether Heage boasts a rich series of events that reflects our vibrant community spirit. We have a wide range of engaging events that aim to include the whole community. We try to put these events on for very little cost so that everyone can feel part of village life.

Our events are all hosted locally to ensure we make the most of our venues.

The monthly coffee morning and luncheon club are held as regular events. We also have a village walk around table top sale, Halloween pumpkins and decorated houses and Christmas windows, an autumn market and Christmas Fayre. We also commemorate Remembrance Day with a special service. We have a village Christmas tree for residents to enjoy, and publish our own calendar each year, featuring images of the village, all taken by residents. We also do regular fund raising events across the year for charities, including a Macmillan coffee morning in memory of John Goadby. We are grateful for the support from many local independent companies that donate prizes to us. It all helps to create a sense of community.

Local walks around the village take you across rural fields, streams and gently undulating countryside. Amber Valley route 5 can be found by following this link. Amber Valley Route 5.

Our events list is always evolving, depending upon the interests of the residents.

Our events are very special to residents and visitors.

They create a sense of togetherness, belonging, sharing good times, remembering the past and people, and preserving the unique character and history of the village.  It's also about creating memories together and enjoying being part of an inclusive community.
